About Roiwerk

We're operators who got tired of AI theatre

Roiwerk is a boutique AI implementation studio. We help operations-heavy companies move from AI curiosity to systems that quietly save money every week.

We're operators who got tired of AI theatre
Why we exist

Most companies don't have an AI problem, they have an AI noise problem. Endless demos, vendor promises and pilots that never reach production. Meanwhile the repetitive work that actually costs money keeps getting done by hand.

We started Roiwerk to close that gap. We pick the use cases that pay off, build them properly, and make sure your team can run them without us. No lock-in, no theatre, no six-figure retainer for a chatbot.

Why we exist
How we work
How we work
01

Honesty over hype

If AI won't pay off for you yet, we'll say so. Trust is the whole business.

02

ROI before code

Every build starts from a business case with numbers, not a shiny demo.

03

Production-grade

Evals, guardrails and monitoring by default. It has to survive real traffic.

04

You keep the keys

We hand over documentation and training. You own what we build.

Who we're a fit for, and who we're not

We'd rather have the honest conversation up front than sell you a project that won't land. Here's who we do our best work with, and when you're better served elsewhere.

A strong fit
  • Operations-heavy teams with repetitive, high-volume work that follows a pattern
  • Companies that want to own what's built, not rent it indefinitely
  • Leaders who'd rather prove ROI on one workflow than boil the ocean
  • Businesses that need to stay compliant with the EU AI Act as they scale
Probably not us, yet
  • Anyone wanting a flashy demo with no path to production
  • Tasks that happen a handful of times a week, where a checklist beats an automation
  • Work with no discernible pattern or usable data to build on
  • Buyers chasing the cheapest possible seat licence rather than a result
The people

Bernd Grüne

Founder & Lead AI Engineer

Bernd founded Roiwerk after years of watching companies buy AI demos that never reached production. He works hands-on with operations, finance, and support teams to find the automations worth building and ship them into daily use, with the evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls that keep them reliable.

His bias is practical: prove the ROI on one workflow, hand your team something they own and understand, and be honest about what isn't worth automating yet. Every engagement is led by someone who has actually built and run this in production, not handed to a junior with a template.
